Recurring Events

Rapidash Trivia

Rapidash Trivia is a biannual trivia event that asks participants to answer several Pokémon-related questions, ranging from simple anime trivia to complex and obscure factoids. There are 12 rounds, each usually lasting up to an hour long and consisting of 150 questions. Overall, there are 12 rounds per occurrence of Rapidash Trivia, each 4 hours apart from each other.

The top 3 players at the end of each round receive a medal and a prize pack for their respective position. As part of the 1st place prize pack, the player will receive a Mewtwo. This is the only known way to obtain this Pokémon.

Rotom's Quest

Rotom's Quest is a month long event that requires players to work together in order to free Rotom. All participating players will earn 1,000 Corda Buck. If the quest is complete, all participating players will earn a Small Corda Balls Pack and three days of Premium. If the quest is complete, one participating player, selected at random, will receive a Rotom; the form of Rotom obtained from Rotom's Quest cycles. This is currently the only known way to obtain this Pokémon.

Elaria Pokémon Tournament

Elaria Pokémon Tournament is a monthly double-elimination tournament that takes place on Pokémon Showdown. Players can use either one or two teams of Pokémon that fit into the tournament's format and special rules. The winner will receive a Star Chip: Silver and either Lugia or Ho-Oh, depending on their choice. All participants will receive a Small Corda Balls Pack and a Star Chip: Copper. Forfeiting players do not receive any reward.

Ongoing Events

Poké Ball Plus Event

The Poké Ball Plus Event is an event that requires users to send Saphir a picture of a Poké Ball Plus accessory. Once done, the user will be given a Mew. This is one of the two ways to obtain a Mew in-game, the other one being through the Mythical Redeem Ticket - Mew.

Pokémon GO Event

The Pokémon GO Event is an event that requires users to send a screenshot of their Pokémon GO trainer profile to Saphir. The user is then given either an Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres depending on the team they are a part of. The account must be Level 10 or above.

Sword and Shield Event

The Sword and Shield Event is an event that requires users to send either a picture of the game cartridge in its plastic box or a picture of the console, with the eShop open to the game's page, showing a greyed-out "purchased" button. The user is then given a choice amongst Bulbasaur (Normal form), Charmander (Normal form), Squirtle, Pikachu (Normal form), Seaking (Normal form), Eevee, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, or Mudkip. Supporters can request two Pokémon from the list. Users can claim this prize once for Pokémon Sword and once for Pokémon Shield.

Mega Seaking Event

Start Date: June 4th, 2019
End Date: June 24th, 2019

The Mega Seaking Event was a special event where users were allowed to submit Mega Seaking Designs (exclusive to Tilia) as a special form Seaking will evolve to when Mega Evolution will be introduced. Three winners' designs won, who each received a Big Corda Balls Pack and a generation VI Seaking (Normal Form).

Unown Event

Start Date: April 17th, 2019
End Date: May 6th, 2019

The Unown Event was a contest that required users to solve twelve riddles that were given over the course of a few weeks. Each riddle's solution was one non-Legendary or Mythical Pokémon that was somehow related to the solution of the final riddle. The first six players to answer all twelve riddles correctly were declared the winners, and were given either an Entei or a Raikou depending on their answer to the final riddle.

Aurora Event

Start Date: April 20th, 2019
End Date: May 20th, 2019

The Aurora Event was a contest that tasked participants with creating a special "Aurora Form" of a Pokémon from Generation I, II, or III that did not already have any alternate forms or mega evolution. Participants were required to submit both a standard and a shiny variant of their Pokémon. At the end of the event, the submissions were judged by an undisclosed third party, and the submissions were ranked based on their theming and effort. The results can be found here.

Three winners were awarded the grand prize. This included a Suicune, a non-shiny variant of their Aurora Form submission, and the potential for the Aurora Form to spawn naturally in the game.

Pokémon Let's Go Event

Start Date: November 16th, 2018
End Date: May 16th, 2019

The Pokémon Let's Go Event was a special event that allowed users to send a picture of their Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! games to Saphir and be given a Pikachu or Eevee depending on which game was shown. The given Pokémon would be from Kanto and have the Generation I indicator.

Crystal Snowflakes Event

Start Date: December 4th, 2019
End Date: January 15th, 2020

The Crystal Snowflakes Event was a special event where players had a 1-in-32 chance to acquire a Crystal Snowflake when they caught any Pokémon. After the event ended, players could take the snowflake out of the box and, before those who are truly pure of heart, a Suicune would appear.

Stay Safe Event

Start Date: March 16th, 2020
End Date: March 31st, 2020

The Stay Safe Event was a special event to provide players with some entertainment while at home to not spread COVID-19. The mean spawn time was reduced from 10 minutes to 5 minutes, increased the maximum number of Pokémon of each species/form combination a player can capture from 2 to 3, and players no longer lost a Corda Ball when they caught a Pokémon.

Elemental Art Contest

Start Date: April 10th, 2020
End date: May 10th, 2020

The Elemental Art Contest was a contest that tasked participants with creating a special "Elemental Form" of a Pokémon from Generation I, II, III, IV, or V, excluding Event-Only Pokémon, Magikarp, Pichu, Unown, Castform, Deerling, and Sawsbuck. There were three different themes for the event - Earth, Sea and Sky. Participants were required to submit both a standard and a shiny variant of their Pokémon. The results can be found here for Earth, here for Sea, & here for Sky.

Six winners (two for each theme) were awarded the grand prize. This included a Kyogre, Groudon, or Rayquaza depending on the theme, a non-shiny variant of their Elemental Form submission, and the potential for the Elemental Form to spawn naturally in the game.
