The first Torchic and its discovery was made on 03/17/2019 by a user named Teddward. However, another user named D3nkrai was first to type its name, yet missed the r, pioneering the infamous misspelling, '''Tochic''', much to his chagrin. Since then, it has been used numerous times to not only parody Torchic, but to set a precedence and become a paragon for other misspelled Pokémon names.
